Collaborative group exhibit, auction, and related events benefiting Ulster County service agencies and not-for-profit organizations.

As demand for their services rises, many worthy service agencies and not-for-profits in our county are struggling to survive during these tough economic times. UlsterCorps is a countywide resource dedicated to fostering a culture of volunteerism and service, and building collaborations among nonprofit organizations and local businesses interested in community involvement. Art for Ulster, a Collaborative Art Exhibit and Fundraiser scheduled for the summer of 2010, is a unique fundraising event which brings together many local agencies and artists to raise both awareness of available services and much needed funds. We hope that you will join us in supporting an organization important to you.

Over 40 works will be for sale, each benefiting a different local agency, collaboration or not-for-profit organization. Participating artists include Judy Pfaff, courtesy Elena Zang Gallery, for UlsterCorps, Gillian Jagger for Rondout Valley Animals for Adoption, and Richard Segalman, courtesy Woodstock Framing Gallery, for Daily Bread Soup Kitchen. A performance will be donated by Esopus Musicalia, whose mission is to provide transformative chamber music experiences through innovative programming: linking history music and art.

Volunteers Volunteers are also needed to serve on the Coordinating Committee, assist with event planning, PR, and at the opening and closing gala events, Friday June 11th and Saturday July 17th. For more information contact ulstercorps@gmail.com or call 481-0331.
